How to Adjust the Discharge Opening of the Jaw Crusher?
With time goes on, the jaw plates will wear out, thus the discharge opening will become larger, and lead to bigger output materials. To get qualified material size, the discharge opening of the jaw crusher should be adjusted regularly. Generally there are four ways to adjust the discharge opening of the jaw crusher:
1. By gasket: Loose the jack screw to open the adjusting base, put in or take out several pieces of gaskets in the support base of the toggle plate to decrease or increase the discharge opening. Please note that the adjustment works should be processed after the shutdown of the jaw crusher. Normally large-scale jaw crushers adopt that way to adjust the discharge opening of the jaw plates;
2. By hydraulic driving cylinder: it is more safe and easy to adjust the discharge opening of the jaw crusher by the hydraulic driving cylinder;
3. By the support device: it means the bearing of the jaw crusher. It mainly adopt the sliding bearing, which is more wear-resistant and bears bigger impact load;
4. By wedge: it is adjusted by the movements of the two wedges between the support base of the toggle plate and the back frame of the jaw crusher. The adjustment can be processed when the machine is running. Generally medium and small jaw crushers adopt that way to adjust the discharge opening.
